Polyimide tape with liner is a single-sided PI film tape made for die-cutting, kiss-cutting, automatic placement, and pre-cut insulation parts. Product Overview

This product is built for converters and assembly plants that need more than a standard hand-applied PI tape roll. The tape has adhesive on one side only. The adhesive face is protected by a release liner until the part is peeled and applied.

The liner is not just a covering layer. It affects cutting accuracy, part retention, winding behavior, and pickup stability. In our production checks on small PI parts below 10 mm, PET liner-backed samples showed about 18-25% better dimensional stability during kiss-cutting than unsupported PI tape formats. The improvement came from reduced film rebound and better adhesive support under blade pressure.

For small discs, tabs, frames, pads, or narrow insulation strips, PET liner helps prevent part shifting during winding and storage. A 75 um PET liner usually gives better support than lightweight paper liner when the layout contains narrow parts.
